Some songs stay with you. **Walking in Memphis cruise ships with Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and Norwegian Cruise Line. Different oceans, different rooms, different people — but every time, this song seemed to land the same way. It became one of those requests that kept coming back, night after night, and I never really got tired of playing it.

When everything shut down in 2020, the stages went quiet. Like a lot of musicians, I found myself at home with time to reflect and a piano to keep me company. I started recording and streaming on Facebook, and once again, Walking in Memphis found its way into the requests. It felt familiar, comforting — like a song that had been waiting patiently.

That’s when I decided to finally record it. This version features my close friend Mark Andrie on guitar, who added a fresh, soulful vibe that really shaped this take.
