This is my fifth release of the year. At the start of the year I challenged myself to release a song every two weeks. It sounded like a good idea at the time… but I’ll be honest, keeping up with it has been a bit of a challenge! So far the journey has taken me through “Tennessee Whiskey,” “Sweet Little Angel,” "Yellow" and “Walking in Memphis.” Now the next one is “Behind Blue Eyes.” I’m a little behind schedule, but I’m still moving forward and having fun with the process. I really appreciate everyone who keeps coming back to check out the latest song—it means a lot. This one hits a little closer to home… mostly because I actually have blue eyes. For this release I also tried something a little different. The video isn’t just a performance—it’s more like a conversation with captions, talking with you while the song plays. I’m always experimenting and trying new ideas.
